By Jodi Blackley You’ve gone through the planning. The wedding was the event of the century. You were the belle of the ball and the honeymoon was the perfect finale to the grand event. Within a matter of weeks or months, you suddenly might find yourself wondering who this person is that you married. Their mannerisms that you found cute before the wedding now seems so annoying. You might have thought she or he would change after the wedding or would automatically cater to your wants and needs. This is extremely common for newlyweds. Many couples never really sit down and talk about their needs, wants and expectations from their relationship. For some, there is a stigma around talking about your needs, as this feels selfish. For others, there is a belief that their spouse should know what their needs are, “because they love me.” Due to these misconceptions, communication begins to break down and arguments ensue, resulting in resentment. You can minimize the tension in your relationship by following the “3 C’s”: Commitment It’s important to realize that your commitment doesn’t stop with saying “I do” at the altar. You and your partner have made a vow, “until death do you part.” But what does that really mean? Well, that is going to vary from couple to couple. If you didn’t discuss this before your wedding, there’s no time like the present. What do each of you need from the relationship? What do you expect of yourself as a wife/husband? What do you expect of your spouse/partner? What expectation(s) do(es) your spouse have of you that you’re able/willing to meet? What expectation(s) do(es) your spouse have of you that you’re unable/unwilling to meet? By understanding your own expectations and those of your spouse, you will be able to work together towards making a stronger union. Also recognize that your needs may change throughout the course of your relationship. It’s safe to say that your partner will also have changes. Checking in periodically when you sense changes or stagnations throughout your relationship can help renew your commitment and discuss any changes you’re noticing. Other activities you can do to make your relationship stronger are: Plan time together every night to reconnect. Plan an outing for the 2 of you at least once a month. If you have children, plan an outing for just the 2 of you every couple of months. Communication This probably seems to be the most obvious of the “3 C’s,” but if it is so obvious, then why are so many couples arguing? Why does it feel like the same argument occurs over and over again without any resolution? Communication is the most obvious of the secrets for a good marriage, but it doesn’t mean it’s the easiest to overcome. Communication is an art. The art of listening, the art of hearing, the art of understanding. Listening doesn’t just mean the words alone. It means paying attention to your partner (listening), getting the message of what they are trying to convey (hearing) and being able to respond in a way that lets them know you got the message (understanding). If this isn’t going on between the 2 of you, arguments erupt and resentment may result. So how do we listen, hear and understand? Do not interrupt when your partner is speaking. Pay attention not only to what but (more importantly) what they’re saying, how they’re saying it, their voice, eyes, speech patterns. Once they are finished, summarize what they said. Find out if what they said matches with what you’ve heard. If not, let them clarify their meaning of their statement again. Clarify again and continue this until everything matches. Once you’ve heard the message, now acknowledge their message and respond with your own. While there are many more steps towards good communication, this will provide you with a basic idea of where to begin. Remember, disagreements are natural in any relationship. Good communication provides you an opportunity to express your opinions, ideas and beliefs openly without feeling like you have to compromise your core beliefs, thus leading to resentment, which can be harmful to any good relationship. Compromise Recognize that you are 2 different people. You have grown up in different cultures, with different experiences and beliefs. It’s these differences that drew you to one another. If you shared every thought and belief, your relationship would be boring, almost as if you were clones of one another. It’s okay to have differences of opinions as well. These opinions may result in a conflict. If you can learn to compromise, then the conflict can be resolved without feeling like either one of you are always, “giving in.” So, how do we compromise? Recognize that no one has to be right or wrong. Each person take turns in talking. Don’t talk over each other. Look at the issue from all angles. Write down all the pros/cons of the issue. Look at possible areas where each of you are willing to give without resentment. If you cannot come up with an agreement at that time, agree to put it aside with an agreement that the issue will be readdressed. If need be, set an actual time so both of you will know when you can discuss it again. 2007, Jodi Blackley, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Fullerton, California http://www.jodiblackley.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Jodi_Blackley http://EzineArticles.com/?The-3-Cs-to-a-Good-Relationship&id=433003 non prescription phentermine 37.5 mg paradise pharmacy phentermine diet pills and phentermine order phentermine without doctor

By Tom Sandkamp With the passing this week of our 38th president, and brother mason, Gerald R. Ford I thought it only fitting to give you some insight into Freemasonry. It is one of the oldest, noblest and most misunderstood of fraternities. Freemasonry as an organization has been in its current existence since the late 1600’s, but its roots are far older and deeper. In this short article I do not plan to tackle or dismiss any of the purposeful misrepresentations of masonry but only give you some simple truths along with fact. As time permits me I will attempt to unveil which is veiled, but only as much as I am able as a worthy brother mason I myself am an active 32nd degree mason. This to the uninitiated means that I was, “raised”, or became a 3rd degree mason in what is called the Blue lodge. I then gained admission to the Scottish rite and then went through the additional series of 29 degrees that are put on in the form of a play with actors, costumes props and music. Free masonry is alive with many well known symbols that you and I see everyday. The difference being, that the initiated know well of these symbols, history and their true meaning. Ever take a close look at a dollar bill? George Washington was a mason and on the reverse of that bill is the design of a pyramid with a single eye above. That symbol stands for the watchful eye of the creator or as masons refer to him as GATU (Great Architect of the Universe). The men who authorized and designed that bill were also masons; one was President Franklin Delanor Roosevelt. Do you think that was a coincidence? I guarantee that it was not. Until I write again, may we all meet and part by the square. I am a 38 year old Mason. I am also involved with the York Rite as well as Scottish rite bodies of masonry. I am a married father of four, ages 19,11,6 and 19 months. I also enjoy internet marketing and have been doing that to gain clients in my equities business. By Todd Going Cypher Stents Allegedly Linked to Fatalities A Cleveland Clinic study released findings on November 29, 2006 that indicated that the drug-coated Johnson & Johnson Cypher Stent is four to five times more likely to cause serious cardiovascular problems than are non-coated stents. Stents are mesh wire tubes that doctors used to hold open arties after angioplasties. The Cypher Stent, approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 2003, emits a drug called Sirolimus that prevents reclosure of the artery after the angioplasty balloon clears out any blockage. Some doctors believe that the drug works by preventing the regrowth of the coating that grows in the blood vessel around the stent that can contribute to further clots. There are over 800,000 angioplasties performed in the United States each year to remove blockages in arteries. Between 15 and 30 % of all these procedures will become clogged again, requiring further angioplasties or other procedures. The FDA began to receive complaints about the Cypher Stent soon after it was released. It has been allegedly linked to hundreds of serious cases of blood clots, thrombosis, strokes, and heart attacks, and 60 people have died due to complications caused by the Cypher Stent. In fact, there were more than 290 people that suffered blood clot-related complications within the first 30 days after they received the devices. Furthermore, the FDA also received more than 50 reports of severe allergic reactions from the Sirolimus coating on the stent. Some people needed serious medical or surgical intervention due to these reactions, and some people even died due to complications. There are thousands of potential people affected by this defective medical device, but it is unknown how many people will suffer serious and potentially life-threatening complications. People with Cypher Stents should consult their doctors immediately and discover their options to protect their safety. By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Craig_Thornburrow]Craig Thornburrow If you are the type of person who has to have custom everything, then there is no doubt that you will want to download at least a couple of custom ringtones for your cell phone. However, those who are into customization usually do not want to go half way with their money, meaning that the items that they customize must start off being the best top of the line products in the first place. They purchase expensive cars and then modify them with cutting edge electronics and various external accessories such as fancy rims or after market exhaust systems. They may purchase a high end watch and then add various precious stones and even more expensive watch bands to it to practically double its value. And when it comes to home electronics, they will settle for nothing less than their own built in home theater system complete with hide-away screen and high definition projector. While all of these items may seem absurdly overpriced to the layperson, they are just par for the course when it comes to someone who has to have the best of everything. However, even the most critical connoisseur of high end electronics will quickly realize that when it comes to cell phones and ringtones, you do not have to spend a fortune to get your own highly customized product. The hunt for the perfect cell phone for ringtones begins at your local wireless providers store. They will have a massive selection of different phones for you to choose from, but even if you do not have the want or the need for the best phone on the market, under no circumstances should you be tempted to get the free phone if you want to enjoy the best ringtones out there. Instead, look towards phones in the fifty to one hundred dollar range. These phones will have a variety of great goodies such as cameras and external screens and all other kinds of cool gizmos, but what they will also have that you really need if you want to make the most out of your ringtones is a blazing fast download speed. You see, most new phones out there take advantage of extremely fast downloads thanks to new wireless technology. Not all phones can download the same speed, mind you, so be on the lookout for phones from Cingular for example that say things like 3G to denote that they are the fastest in their class. While the downloading speed of your phone is a major player in the race to get the best ringtones out there, you will also want to make sure that your phone has mp3 player capabilities built into it. Phones with mp3 players will be able to play mp3 ringtones which will give you the absolute best in ringtone quality for your buck. Craig Thornburrow is an acknowledged expert in his field. By Daniel Wadleigh Levels of New Market Development A. Passive Passive here means broad spectrum media ads which stimulate the front runners - who are the gasoline for the engine of the movement of any new product from “new” market development until it becomes a commodity. These are the TV or newspaper ads that stimulate enough people to act. This stimulus/response takes a little selling, but, is a lot easier than direct sales, and is a little harder than merchandising commodities. B. Active This is direct sales. Direct sales means that you called (or mailed to) them directly and went for a “yes” or “no” without them being predisposed in the first place. Direct sales is the most difficult to achieve, but is also the most rewarding when successfully accomplished. Because price is not an object. For example: Media ads for new windows - Once there is an inquiry, a professional sales person is sent to “close” a sale. This is a skilled and highly paid professional. But even harder and more high-paying is the non-response selling of a new product or service. Getting an appointment on a new product (generating leads) is a chore in itself. Secondly, sales of perceived value are lower in close rates than media response leads, but the control of the number of responses and sales is much greater. You are not dependent upon as many exterior conditions being favorable (seasons, inflation, etc.). Mail order also falls into this last category. To be “good” at marketing any one of the above levels does not necessarily mean much with the other categories. Do you have inexpensive “passive” promotions? If you are selling an unknown product or service, are you describing what “problem” you are going to solve, or, how you are going to enhance their life from the status quo? By Kevin Frulow Ever since I went through my growth spurt in my teen years, I’ve been obese. I finally said to myself “I’m tired of being fat and people looking at me, I’m going to be thin and muscular”. I actully accomplished that over the last year. Now I run every day. I feel great and I eat like a horse because of my high metabolism. You too can have what I have and learn how to lose weight quickly. You just have to commit yourself to a whole new lifestyle. Here’s some weight loss tips: 1. If you want to lose weight quickly, try some intervals. Intervals are a combination of running and walking. For example: You can run for 5 minutes and walk for 5 minutes then repeat. This pumps your metabolism up and also allows you to have a “resting” period while walking. Do this every day and the fat will melt away and you will notice your clothes getting bigger… or you getting smaller! 2. Eat Breakfast! Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you don’t eat it, your body doesn’t give itself the jumpstart it needs to keep a high metabolism throughout the day. Make sure to eat within 2 hours of waking up. 3. Do not eat right before you go to bed. This is just asking for trouble since it would be extra energy your body stores which translates into fat. Give yourself a couple of hours in between that last snack and bedtime. 4. Stay away from processed foods, soda, foods with fructose syrup, hydrogenated oils and trans fats. When you go food shopping, try to pick a variety of foods, preferably whole grain and organic foods. If you’re going for the deli meats, stay lean by choosing turkey or roast beef. 5. Water is important! Drink at least 8 cups of water a day. This keeps you hydronated and flushes out your body of toxins. Your body consists of mostly water anyways. 6. When you’re working out, make sure you give each half of your body a rest every day. For example if you work your upper body on Tuesday, only work on your lower body on Wednesday, alternating every day. This gives your body a chance to actully build muscle onto your body. Please remember that strength training is a very important role in weight loss. Ever hear of the term “turn fat into muscle”? That’s not literally what happens but it is pretty darn close. When you build extra muscle, your body needs more energy. This is why body builders eat alot. Their metabolisms are very high, they are very muscular, therefore they have low body fat. I hope all that makes sense to you. If you would like a great program to get started, I recommend Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle - Fat Burning Secrets Of The Worlds Best Body Builders And Fitness Models Kevin Frulow is dedicated to his health and well being. He is a trainer at his local fitness center and helps people overcome obesity every day with 100% success. By Kevin McGoldrick WHY ARE WE DYING TO KNOW THE TRUTH? Please take the time to really read this report thoroughly as it contains vital information on health you will not find easily obtainable from other publications. If you weren’t aware of the carcinogens and POISONS in your everyday personal care items then these reports will shock you! Please READ ON! Learn critical health secrets the giant vested interests don’t want you to know! This new information may save your life…. but only if you put it into practice! To fully understand the significance of what is contained in these reports requires some basic knowledge. Let’s begin by reviewing the way cancer is treated in North America, the UK and most “developed” countries today. One of the most frightening things a person can hear from their doctor is, “you have cancer”. This is because we all know people who have been affected by this terrible disease. We may have friends or family members who have suffered and died from cancer. We may also know people who have contracted cancer and survived, but we also know the price some of them paid in chemotherapy induced illness and hair loss, in physical disfigurement from surgery, or in side effects from radiation treatments The purpose of these reports is not to scare you, nor is it to provide medical advice. Ultimately, only you can decide what is best for you whether you are trying to prevent cancer or if you already have cancer and are seeking treatment. To make good decisions, you must first have good information. Would you agree… Informed people make informed decisions? If you want to reduce your chance of getting cancer, you must know something of what may cause cancer. You must know how you can minimize your potential exposure and how you can support your body’s natural abilities to protect itself from cancer. In this report, we will attempt to provide some of that information. The first step will be to expose a few myths MYTH #1: We are winning the battle with cancer, and survival rates are much better today than in the past. False!Cancer has become AN EPIDEMIC… effecting massive numbers of people in all social and economic groups. It is now the 2nd leading cause of death in North America, Australia and the UK. Death from cancer is exceeded only by heart disease. The American Cancer Society says that 1 in 2 of all men and 1 in 3 of all women in our country today will develop some form of cancer in their lifetime. This is a massive increase over the 1 person in 80 who contracted cancer 100 years ago. Due to the huge numbers of people dying in the USA from all degenerative diseases, not just cancer, life expectancy is being revised downward for the first time ever by medical researchers.According to the NEJM report, studies suggest that two-thirds of American adults are overweight. One study cited by the authors indicates that the prevalence of obesity in U.S. adults has increased about 50 percent per decade since 1980. Additional research has shown that people who are severely obese live up to 20 years less than people who are not overweight and are much more prone to contracting cancer. Some researchers have estimated that obesity causes about 300,000 premature deaths in the U.S. annually. In addition, obesity is fuelling an epidemic of type 2 diabetes, which also reduces lifespan and is the cause of many debilitating diseases and blindness. Life expectancy in the USA is now at a high of 77.6 years. If the researchers’ predictions hold true in the next 50 years, it would be the first reversal in life expectancy since the government started keeping track in 1900. This year, about 1,200,000 new cancer cases will be diagnosed in the USA alone, with hundreds of thousands more in the UK and in Australia and other Western countries. When added to the millions who already have cancer, the anticipated loss of life easily exceeds 1,000,000 per year. (Over 1,500 people in the U.S. alone die every day from cancer.)In spite of massive investments in research, cancer rates are increasing markedly among all age groups, including children, whose rate of increase is nearly 1% per year according to the American Cancer Institute. In some parts of the world, cancer already affects 1 in every 2 people, and the trend continues to get worse. Eventually the rate could approach 100% Although small improvements have occurred in treating some cancers, the overall rate of recovery for cancer patients has changed very little over the past 50 years. The average cancer survival rate was about 50% in 1950, and it is still about 50% today. For African-Americans, the survival rate in 1950 was under 40%, and it also remains about the same today. MYTH #2: Chemotherapy is very effective in treating cancer and in saving the lives of cancer victims. False! Over the years, many dramatic claims have been made by pharmaceutical companies and other members of the cancer establishment regarding drug based treatments for cancer. Today, chemotherapy is the most common form of cancer treatment. If such successful results were actually being achieved, improvements could readily be observed in the survival rates. Yet, survival rates remain basically unchanged. Chemotherapy consists of a mixture of highly toxic drugs which are given the patient in a series of treatments over a period of time. Research shows that chemotherapy can often cause a partial or even complete shrinkage of a tumour, although this shrinkage does not necessarily prolong expected survival. In fact, studies have found that the cancer often returns even more aggressively than before, because the chemotherapy has created more resistant cells. In addition, a strongly negative side effect of chemo is that it can severely damage the body’s immune system as well as the kidneys and liver. Some patients will die from these complications alone. It is often a case of the cure being far more serious and deadly then the disease. A good indication of the effectiveness of chemotherapy can be found in polls surveying cancer doctors regarding what they would choose for themselves if they were diagnosed with cancer. Many US doctors have stated they would not choose chemotherapy for themselves due to its ineffectiveness and its unacceptable levels of toxicity. Sixty percent of doctors who responded to a similar poll in the UK indicated that they would not submit themselves to chemotherapy! Still, doctors continue to administer chemotherapy because they do not have approved medical alternatives. The fact is, there are large profits to be made by the drug companies in administering chemotherapy, whether it is actually effective or not. Well that is all in this first Toxic Chemical and Cancer Report. I hope you have enjoyed reading this, the first report in a ten report series. The reports will continue to give you factual hype free information about the myths concerning cancer and other health issues in future reports. By Glenn Freiboth If you have ever been on a diet or weight loss program you know that you constantly have voices talking to you to try to derail you from your goal. I like to call them the Fat Demons. They want you to stay fat. Maybe it is a protective thing in your subconscious that says, If you stay fat then people will stay away from you and you wont be hurt by bad relationships anymore. You know what I am talking about, dont you? You are walking down the aisles at the grocery store and it isnt the fresh fruits and vegetables that are calling out to you, it is the twinkies and the Little Debbie snack cakes! Am I right? You know I am! You walk into a convenience store and buy a diet drink and then you get to the checkout stand and you grab a chocolate bar to go along with it. Or you buy the Baked Lays chips and then buy a container of French Onion Dip to dip them in. You are on your diet and every commercial on TV screams out at you with food ads. Two Extra Large Pizzas for $10.00! You go through the local Wendys Drive thru and you order a grilled chicken breast sandwich with lettuce only and you have done good until the clerk says, You want fries with that? Do you want to biggie size it? Want a Frosty to go with that? Now you have your caloric intake for two days! Resist the temptation to let them sucker you into the crate of fries and the 55 gallon drum of coke. You have to identify your weaknesses and know how to combat them. If you know that you have a weakness for junk food at your local convenience store stay out of it. If you have a craving for Big Macs and Double Whoppers with cheese stay away from McDonalds and Burger King! Dont sit and eat in front of a TV, instead eat in front of a mirror! Im not kidding. If you sit there and watch yourself eat and you are overweight you will become disgusted if you try to eat too much. Dont let little slip ups get you down. Just say, You got me that time but you wont get me again. Keep a positive attitude. Everybodys Fat Demons are different. You have to identify the ones that call to you and recognize them for what they are. Every time you beat them you will become stronger against them. Reward yourself with a TINY snack for beating them, dont go overboard. By Janice Elizabeth Small It’s ironic, isn’t it, that when you search for “natural weight loss” online you see a load of ads for pharmaceutical products. Since when did natural come in pill form? Real natural weight loss starts in your head when you decide that you’ll do whatever it takes to lose weight by changing the quality and quantity of food you eat and the amount of exercise you take. You naturally lose weight when you do what is good for you most of the time and gain it just as naturally when you don’t. Now that’s easy to say and not so easy to do when you want to lose weight and your normal inclination and habit is to do what you know you shouldn’t. You can use all the willpower you like in your weight loss program but, if you are forcing yourself too far out of your comfort zone, you’ll be going against the grain and making life exceedingly tough for yourself. Most people give up on any weight loss regime that forces them to make huge changes to their lifestyle and routine well before they’ve reached their target weight - if they even get past the first two weeks. Instead of pills and punishing diets and workouts, you need a weight loss program which takes into account the natural human tendency to resist change. And this means taking things one step at a time, building up good habits until they feel part of your normal routine. It means gradually switching to moderate quantities of healthy natural foods. It means starting to move a little more than you do just now and building that up each day. Natural weight loss occurs when you have built up the habits that support it. It feels great to lose weight that way and what’s more the changes you make to your habits stay with you - they are permanent and you never need to think about clicking on those natural weight loss diet pill ads ever again! By Ronald F. Patterson When working at a nursery, you are supposed to be an expert on everything. Well, I work at a nursery and I sure don’t know everything. However, I am considered an expert on certain plants, fertilizers, and habitats. Things happen fast this time of year and for the next few months. Flowers, trees and shrubs come and go as if there is a revolving door. Here today, gone tomorrow. Blooms fade in a matter of days. Plants get beat up by customers. ID tags are lost. Often I am asked to ID a certain plant and its growth habits. If you don’t trust your local nurseryman or garden center workers, here are a few tips when buying annuals and perennials. When buying perennials, look for ID tags. What is the name of the plant, what growing conditions are required and what are the plants habits? But it has a pretty flower and I like it!Will you like the same plant next year when it has invaded your prized lilies? The plant you bought was only 2 feet tall and in bloom, why is it 4 feet tall this year? ID tags will assist you in this. A nurseryman may not always know or be as helpful. You may have thought it was something else. Growers pinch or cut back plants to make them bushier and to produce more blooms. Ask questions and read tags. Look for plants that are budding, not in bloom. This way you enjoy the flowers longer. Look for multiple stems or stalks. Pull the plant out of the pot and check out the root system. Are the roots white and healthy looking? Is the plant pot bound and showing signs of stress?Does the potting soil smell earthy or sour? Is it a plug from a 1qt. pot shoved into a 3qt. pot and selling at a premium price. Most nurseryman don’t mind if you put the plant back in the pot. Annuals grow fast, their sole purpose in life is to reproduce and die. Look for annuals that are full of growth and buds. Is the tray a bit stalky? Look for new growth coming from the bottom of the plant stalk. If there are signs of new growth, then this is a healthy plant. You can cut the top off and the annual with fill out and bloom better then before. Keep deadheading for continual bloom. Continuous blooms will bring butterflies. Blooms also bring insects that bring birds. Zinnias are a prime example. Butterflies love zinnias. Tiny insects congregate in the blooms and you will find hummingbirds hovering over the flowers licking up these tiny bugs. I dead head perennials that are considered invasive and leave my natives for the birds. Some annuals will go to seed late in the season for my wildlife as well. Plant in groupings for color and to attract wildlife. Never pay full price for a perennial where there is no ID tag. Plant it in a trial bed to see what you may have for next year. You can always prune back a perennial and pinch back annuals to have bushier more productive plants. Some perennials will give you a second and third bloom if you deadhead while others still will continue to bloom all season if they don’t go to seed. Plant native when possible, they are less reliant on artificial food and water. Plant for nature. Ron Patterson is a Michigan Certified Nurseryman and WildlifeHabitat Naturalist.
